About the Regional Fairs

Two different regional fairs were organised within the frame of the project ProMembrane.

These two regional fairs were the scenario for the local research community in the membrane field to present their scientific work. Their aim was to contribute to the promotion of the activities being carried out and to be a stage for linking the researchers in the area. The Young Scientist Award, the scientific contest organised by ProMembrane consortium, was one of the highlights of the fairs.

The first regional fair took place from 9-11th of September 2007 in the city of Homs, Syria, addressing the Middle East region. This fair was organised by the Al-Baath University.

The second regional fair took place from 29-30th of October 2007 in the city of Cairo, Egypt, addressing the North African region. This fair was organised by the National Research Centre.
