Work Package 1: Project management

 WP1 is involved with the management of the project, and is responsible for all of the other work packages. In order to secure an efficient running of the project, the management tasks have been divided into three tasks: General Coordination and Financial Project Management, Administrative Project Management and Scientific Project Management. WP1 includes the material and human resources management, as well as the establishment of the project�s website, communication to the partners of the project�s progress and their obligations and the delivery of obligatory reports to the European Commission.


Objectives

The aim of WP1 is to coordinate, communicate and ensure cooperation between the partners, as well as to manage all the financial and administrative issues, linking together all the project components and maintaining communication with the European Commission.

Its specific objectives are:

  • To manage the overall legal, contractual, ethical, financial and administrative issues.
  • To ensure that all the European Commission requirements for reporting are met.
  • To monitor the progress of the project in completing tasks and achieving deliverables and milestones within the fixed timetable.
  • To enable network cohesion and promote co-operation between partners.
  • To establish effective communications to facilitate contact between project partners, including a project web site, to update members with the progress in each WP.
