The Technologie-Transfer-Zentrum Bremerhaven was established in 1987 and comprises six institutes for applied research and development (R&D) with more than 120 highly qualified employees (scientists and engineers). All TTZ-institutes have the most modern technical and laboratory infrastructure at their disposal. TTZ has successfully completed more than 4000 Projects, from which a vast selection of European projects in the field of membrane applications can be point out: MOWOM (mobile wastewater treatment process for olive mills, EU CRAFT project), IWAPIL (compact submerged membrane system for wastewater treatment applications for isolated locations, EU CRAFT), PURATREAT (energy efficient approach to the operation of membrane bioreactors for decentralized wastewater treatment, INCO-MED STREP), MEERWASSERENTSALZUNG (mobile unit for seawater desalination, German national project).
