The governmental non-profit National Research Centre is the largest in the Middle East, consisting of 14 research institutes devoted to different R&D sectors in science and technology to serve the national, regional and international cooperation and more than 5,400 successful R&D projects. NRC has over 3150 skilled academic employees (professors, Ph.D. holders, scientists and engineers), and has technical pilot plants, municipal and industrial scale processes and equipped laboratories.
