Al-Baath University is one of the five government’s universities in Syria and has 21 faculties. One of the twenty laboratories of the chemical engineering Faculty belongs to the environmental studies, where research in the field of water treatment is carried out, additionally a highly advanced pilot-plant for biological treatment of sewage water is installed.
