Evaluation process
The evaluation of the applications submitted has been concluded. In order to see the ranking click here
All applications were received by the Centre of Biotechnology of Sfax (CBS) with copy to the Project Coordinator (ttz-Bremerhaven). CBS selected those applications that complied with the selection criteria. Afterwards, the applications were forwarded to members of the ProMembrane Scientific Committe who evaluated them according to the:
Technical evaluation criteria
- Degree of innovation (threshold 3/5; weight 1)
- Results / feasibility of the application (threshold 3/5; weight 1)
- Relevance for the region (threshold 4/5; weight 1)
- Potential impact for the regio (threshold 4/5; weight 1)
- Clarity of objectives, scientific quality, presentation of the work (threshold 4/5; weight 1)
Total threshold 19/25; weight 25
The applications were ranked and the best three from each Region received an official invitation to the ProMembrane International Conference in Sfax, Tunisia (4-9 May 2008).
The 600 EURO cash prize for the first place of both Regions (Middle East and North Africa) will be awarded during the International Conference.
